Painting on glass, or reverse glass painting, is an art technique in which the paint is applied in reverse on the back side of a glass panel. The artwork is then viewed from the front, creating a unique flat appearance and a distinctive sense of depth. Because the paint is applied to the back, the background is painted last, while the foreground details are painted first.
